Electrician Foreman Job Requirements
Job Description:
$25-$29/Hr
The Foreman Electrician will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of electrical workers on construction and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate should be Hands On and have advanced technical skills, leadership experience, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of electricians and auxiliary staff.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct quality and safety inspections on the job site.
Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain work schedules.
- Assign tasks to workers and ensure the availability of materials and tools.
Installation and Maintenance:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site support.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Implement and maintain safety and health policies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project activities.
- Prepare and present progress reports to management.
Requirements:
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Electrician’s License.
- OSHA 10 Hour
- Additional certifications in project management or supervision are a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 5 years in a foreman role.
- Experience in Commercial/Residential construction projects.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and diagrams.
Leadership Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and make decisions under pressure.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in the use of project management tools and software.
- Ability to work in diverse and dynamic work environments.
Working Conditions:
- Work on construction sites with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy materials and equipment.
